Let’s just run through these last few days on hyperdrive. So many good tracks came up and barely enough time to keep up. Enjoy!

Home is a producer from Punta Gorda, Florida. He combines this progressive synth layer with a very lo-fi beat. Sounds like a very mature combination of disco and progressive house (as in progressive when it was still progressive, not the EDM it became later on). Beautiful intrumental track.

KANT is playing with this sample mostly know from track by either Avicii or Cassius. The original sample comes from a record that way way older though; Gwen McCrae’s ‘All This Love That I’m Giving’ which was released in 1979. The KANT version is a minimalistic deephouse version, modest and very fun.

Seeing Jean Tonique in the Soundcloud stream automatically means good stuff is incoming. His new remix features Destiny’s Child’s ‘Jumpin’ Jumpin”. Get past the first version, at around 40 second in you’ll know why this track is up here.

Mr. SirOJ’s last track was a little rough around the edges, but this one really hits the spot again. Again, mid tempo funk with some strong house influences. And a sample from Wiley’s ‘Creating a Buzz’. Was this in Wiley’s fuck-it-I’m-giving-everything-away-for-free rage pack he put up for download?

Dillon Francis’ and T.E.E.D.’s ‘Without You’ receives this Chordashian remix. Uplifting deephouse, I guess. Bright and energetic anyway, loving the snares Chordashian weaves through this remix.

Even though this is the beatless version of Munk’s ‘The Beat’ (yeah weird huh), it still remains really really cool. The whole Bossa element gives it a really nice touch.

Don’t usually post a whole lot of Techno. No, real techo. Not what you funny Americans pass along as Techno Music. Actual techno. Because Tom Staar did this really amazing version of Underworld’s ‘Cowgirl’. Take the whole track right into 2014. So much drive. Amazing.

Pretty sure Daft Punk does this in their live show. ‘Around The World’ pretty much seamlessly fits into ‘Voyage’ and vice cersa. So Wichita mashuppeteer A Daft Friend made the full mashup. Also, pretty sure Daft Punk is considered something for ‘old people’ now, right? Fuck.

Ending with Major Lazer, who put out another remix EP. It has some cool remixes, one of which is this Jah No Partial remix by So Shifty. It’s a Dub. Dub never gets old. More Dub please.
