There’s some very decent work over at Australian singer/songwriter/producer Luke August’s Soundcloud page – gotta mention his most recent project titled ‘One Heart’ at the very least.
As a songwriter August lays down a track that sounds nice and well thought out, both lyrically and musically. Next to that, the production quality just stand out from a lot of other music that has been submitted here in recent months (a quality for which in all fairness it looks like Perth-based producer Charlie Young might deserve some credits for mentoring/aiding in August’s mixing efforts). Overall, sounds like one of the few better pop songs we’ve received this year.
