Gold Coast breakdancer turned music producer Wongo shares an interesting new sound this week, on a new single titled ‘Paradise’.
When it comes to Wongo, you might have already heard more housey tracks such as ‘Maybe Why Not‘ (featuring Cut Snake), ‘Be 2 Be‘ (featuring Ducky) or his remix on Yolanda Be Cool and DCUP’s 2013 single ‘Money‘. This new single shows a more mellow side of Wongo’s musical doings.
On his new single, ‘Paradise’, the Australian producer – aparently it’s for the first time ever he’s working with a fellow Gold Coast local – is joined by San Mei (featured image), who in turn has already worked on really good music as well with Ascio and GOVS, as well as through a few originals of her own such as ‘Rewind‘ and ‘Brighter‘. According to Wongo their collaboration is a hommage to Gold Coast: “When I first heard San Mei, I had a feeling we would be able to come up with something special. It’s a track that portrays our sunny hometown whilst staying true to the vibes of my production style.”
