Summer is (next to Christmas) the best time of the year to get fed up with music you actually liked a few weeks earlier. One of the best remedies to this is probably a remix. Just when you think you had enough of a track, suddenly that one remix pops up and saves that track, at least for the better part of the week.
We No Speak Americano
Spank! Records is hosting a ‘We No Speak Americano‘ remix contest. Right now the 10 best entries have been picked by the Spank! crew and listeners can vote for their favorite remix. One of them is Moonchild, who claims he hassn’t won altough votes are still being collected untill the 11th of July..? Still a nice remix tough.

Nightcall Remix
As mentioned before, there’s a Kavinsky Remix Contest going on over at Soundcloud. There already are around 500 entries in the contest, so good luck to Kavinsky who will be selecting the winner himself. Winner will be announced soon. According to Kavinsky’s Twitter account the contest ends on the 1st of July. Here are two producers who might have a shot at winning the competition:

What It Means
Not exactly a remix but definitely some nice sampling done here/ Impressive work by Uk’s Hip-Hop/Breaks/Dunstep producer Featurecast. One of his latest tracks is called ‘What It Means’ and he’s sharing it for free, as he does with a lot of his productions. Oh and he’s also touring the globe as a dj.
