Midnight Brunch
New Bahler Mashup got posted a few hours ago. This time the LA mashup artist uses samples from M83, Jurassic 5, Shabazz Palaces, MGMT, Diplo and Tech N9ne. To be honest I’m not sure about some of the rap verses. But the instrumental mashup between MGMT’s ‘Time To Pretend’ and M83’s ‘Midnight City’ is just pure brilliance. This mashup is part of a bigger package of originals, mashups and remixes by different artists. It is called ‘Swagged Out Volume 2‘. Not all tracks on it are equally brilliant, but you’ll find that some of the tracks really deserve to be in your music library.
Forever (Tom Staar Remix)
Oh yeah, the new Wolfgang Gartner album ‘Weekend In America’ came out this week. It features classics such as Illmerica and Space Junk as well as some great new tracks. If you have a minute to spare, check it out. Google will find it for you.
Now personally I think collabs on the album with people such as Will.I.Am or Omarion don’t have any added value at all. And perhaps you will find that some of the tracks sound exactly alike. That being said, and despite the fact that there is some unnecessary vocal work on this track.. I really like the energy in the Tom Staar remix of ‘Forever’. Ministry Of Sound is giving it away as a freebie to promote the new album and single.
