Outkast is touring this summer, taking up over 40 festivals on the way. performing live, chances are a lot of old material will be recycled. Let’s not forget about the new stuff though. Big Boi for instance is working out a new track almost every week, picking up samples from all different kinds of artists. This week he’s got a special treat featuring samples from ‘Mrs. Vandebilt‘ and ‘Mama Told Me‘, even featuring the original Little Dragon lyrics.
Track from 2013. James Young’s ‘Parachute’ get remixed by 67th Hour. Have a look at the original first. The original is also a free track on Soundcloud, and it is part of a larger free album titled ‘Dark Star’. Which is also downloadable for free. As for the remix, the rework is limited to some re-arrangements, different beats and a tiny synths. But as a whole it just doesn’t sound like those extra layers were added later. Beautiful blend.
GANZ’ star is not shining quite as bright as it should be in the Netherlands. Source: Netherlands. (For the record, it should be!)
