Bon Iver, Benga, Wolvvves and more..

Again long time and no tunes. I’m using all my time on my education and my job lately. Here’s a solid update with some new tracks tough.. And a freshly brewed video by yours truly.

A little over a week ago I was invited by Dutch dj duo Wolvvves to come and see them perform at Jägerland Tour in Eindhoven. (Hosted by Vice Magazine / Area 51 / Jägermeister.) It turned out to be a rather good performance and we made this little promotional video for them. The music in the vid is written by Danish trio Who Made Who. These talented Danes released their album ‘Knee Deep’ back in April and the second track you hear in the video comes from that very album. (It’s an awesome album by the way, buy it here if you like!) The first track is a remix on Who Made Who’s ‘Every Minute Alone’ by The Circle. You can download this track on Soundcloud thanks to WMW’s label Kompakt.

Today BBC’s Annie Mac uploaded a fine new tune to her Soundcloud account. It’s dubstep veteran Benga’s ‘United Kingdom’, up for free grabs. By the way, Benga also runs his own account with heaps of these little free dubstep recordings, definitely worth checking out!

UK’s Michael Woods also turns out the be a provider of some nice free tuneage. A few days ago he posted a mashup of two of his own productions, ‘First Aid’ and ‘Burned You Away’. Nice, pretty straight foward progressive/electro track.

Posted a lot of his music before, and here’s another one. French producer Mattanoll remixed the played-to-death ‘We Are The People’ by Empire Of The Sun. I’m sure most people are pretty tired of yet another EotS remix but this one is pretty nice to listen to, so here you go:

Malefique is a hip-hop producer from Moscow, Russia. Somehow he manages to have an average of releasing a new production every two or three days, making him one of the most productive producers I know. The track below mildly borrows samples from Vanessa Paradis’ ‘Joe Le Taxi’, in case you recognize the innocent voice clips.

Closing the post with a smooth dubstep edit of Bon Iver’s ‘Calgary’. At least I think of it more as an edit as it leans very much on the original recording. The one responsible for the beats is dubstep duo Azedia.
