Perfectly tagged ‘afterhours’, ‘Dear Love’ is a new recording between Toronto producer Birthday Boy and L.A. vocalist Dana. Originally the track is an acapella by Dana from her 7 track EP ‘Love, Dana’. Birthday Boy’s rework is a perfect backing track for it, not influencing the acapella but just adding instrumental elements and the right time.
Kelis decided for her next album to be produced by TV On The Radio’s Dave Sitek and released through British label Ninja Tune. The full album will be available on April 21st, and the first single from the album has received a remix by Breach (Ben Westbeech). Great rework, and it’s available for free download if you do the following: Play this video on speakers, pick up the sound using Shazam, pass on your email address through Shazam, download the Breach remix from your email inbox. So the video generates views, the track receives plays through Shazam and another someone now has your email address. But you have this track by Breach.
Third rework, Odd Year puts his own sound in Kimbra’s 2011 track ‘Settle Down‘. Fun rework, Odd Year gets rid of all the original instruments and sets in a nice groove of his own making.
