Track of the day has that certain eighties vibe. The one where you think you got to call Ghost Busters. Digital Farm Animals lays down an instrumental track for vocalist Tyson to sing ‘Buggin” to. Tight production. Dat vibe.
Londoner Talrite just remixes Flume’s ‘Sleepless’. Not your typical make-it-harder remix. Instead, Talrite goes the other way around with a very minimalist version that includes steeldrums. Also picked this one to close Random Mixtape 5, which we premiered yesterday.
Here’s one track we weren’t too impressed with. At first. The sample got stuck though, and the production is actually very decent. German producers Fabich & Ferdinand Weber present ‘What’, a straightforward house beat with a great sample that keeps the whole track together. Not sure where it’s from though.
Original rework by Onra on Disclosure’s ‘F For You’. The Parisian producer works out a slow jam with Disclosure’s almost unchanged vocals on top of it. Not sure about melodies though. Sounds just a tiny bit ‘off’. But not off enough to skip posting this little gem.
This would’ve done an amazing job in 2008, next to MSTRKRFT and Justice. Oh the times. Still, this is a really nice piece of work by Lemâitre. ‘Splitting Colors’ is here to let you know the Norse duo have a new album out titled ‘Relativity By Nite‘. Going to invent time machine now. Bye.
