Human (LightsoverLA Remix)
LightsoverLA delivers a nice edit on Ellie Goulding’s ‘Human’. Was waiting for a dubstep wobble to drop after every breakdown. But it didn’t. This remix is pretty faithfull to the original track, with an updated drum section and some interresting breakdowns. Nicely beefed up version of the original.
Everyone’s At It (Mattanoll Remix)
Amazing how blogs haven’t picked this up yet. This is a great rework on Lilly Allen’s ‘Everyone’s At It’ by Mattanoll. The original track comes from Allen’s 2009 album ‘It’s Not Me, It’s You’. Now Mattanoll has succesfully remixed Cassius, The Shoes, Empire Of The Sun, Pharrell, Two Door Cinema Club and La Roux. These tracks get thousands of plays. The Cassius remix even got up to 6800 plays. This track right here deserves even more. Great remix!
Mourning Doves
It’s been a while since I posted singer-songwriter Riley Jantzen’s ‘Many Women‘. It was a brilliant little acoustic piece recorded in his bathroom, only using a guitar and his voice. But time has passed, and Jantzen is moving on to a bigger stage, probably a lot less comfortable one than his own bath tub. He has an album coming up titled ‘Feathers’. The first track on the album is titled ‘Mourning Doves’ and he is giving it away for free. Let’s hope there’s a studio version of ‘Many Women’ on the album too. You can pre-order it here.
We Found Love (Solidisco Bootleg)
Damn you pop music. Even if I don’t don’t like you, eventually you’ll get stuck in my head. That also goes for Rihanna and Calvin Harris and their ‘We Found Love’. There’s a nice remix going around by Solidisco. It’s the kind of remix that Go Go Bizkitt or Shiny Disco Club would probably agree with.
