With pleasure, I’ve been following Berlin based producer Hannes Fischer for a little while now.
And it’s something I can recommend to anyone who’s looking for dancefloor-proof edits on some of the best songs that have passed in the last few years. Fischer has touched recordings by artists such as Fleet Foxes, Adele, Tori Y Moi, Röyksopp, Caribou and a lot more. The beauty of these edits is that they are not the agressive let’s-go-monkey-feces dancefloor edits you usually hear. Instead, most of them are just modest and simple four to the floor edits that leave a lot of the original tracks intact. Here’s a good example; Fischers’ take on Foster The People’s ‘Pumped Up Kicks’. At first it was uploaded by Fischer’s alias RLYNX in September of last year (before FTP released the remix parts) but today he uploaded it to his official account, re-activating the download option.

And basicly UK Threesome Spaced did pretty much the same as Hannes Fischer.
They Fischerized the heck out of Fleetwood Mac’s classic ‘Big love’. (The original one, not the acoustic 1997 recording.) Again a nice and modest edit with some modern beats and a good sub to go on top of it.

Michael Brun just hit the magic number of 900 followers on Facebook.
Which means he is doing quite alright. But I’m not sure what’s so magic about 900 yet. 1000 would sound a bit better, right? I mean if he’s to share this very tight Alesso vs. Laidback Luke vs. Gregor Salto vs. Mavis Acquah mashup at 900, that should automagicly mean he’s got a really nice surprise in store by the time he’ll hit a 1000 likes. Let’s speed up the process a bit, go like him!

Anorak London is probably one of my favorite PR agencies at the moment. They send a few good tracks on a weekly basis, some of those even feature download links that I can share with you. Today I found out they are even sharing an entire Penguin Prison EP for free on Soundcloud. The track is called ‘Multi Million Dollar Bill’, the original version is below. A.Skillz is not the first to remix Marlena Shaw’s ‘California Soul’ (I think Diplo was first) but he does deliver quite a quality remix.
According to A.Skillz there has been a massive amount of interest in the remix ever since he used it for the first time in one of his mixes. And the 12.000 plays and 4500 downloads on Soundcloud kinda do confirm that statement.
