Husky, Donnell Jones, Soulpersona, Major Lazer, Flux Pavilion, Yellow Claw, Yung Felix, SirOJ

Hi. Still going through first ±250 tracks of the week, figured I might as well start typing. Mondays always has a few good recordings to post anyway. Usually this comes down to a handful of tracks, from these few we make a selection of tracks that go on the blog. This time I’ll put the remainder at the bottom of this post, for the eager.

Done. First track comes from Detroit producer Husky. Not sure about how to call it, but this has become a genre. Weird-ish Future Garage/House with pitched RnB vocals. Also big focus on deep kicks, and detuned synths. Husky does Destiny’s Child ‘Independant Woman’. Deep stuff for the afterhours, titled ‘Tippin’.

Sticking with the same acapella. Dutch dj/producer SirOJ also just premiered this fantastic take on Destiny’s Child ‘Independant Woman’. Leaves he pitch button alone. Slowed down house music for instrumental. Probably today’s favorite.

More awesomeness from the home base. Dutch dj crew Yellow Claw come together with Yung Felix for a remix on Flux Pavilion and Major Lazer’s ‘Jah No Partial’. Trap, not the most beautiful mixdown ever. But track itself works. Use big speakers. Put on your mean face.

These vocals below came up in a recent track by Fion and Brame, titled ‘What’s Up‘. Now a Londoner called Soulpersona comes forth with his take on the Donell Jones classic. Funk.

Now for the remainder. First one that needs mentioning is the Forward Thinking Sounds label. A Knoxville based company that started sharing tracks just mere days ago. Their focus is Trap. Their latest track is ‘I Feel’ by Shake It Maschine & Mr. Pigman. Then there is Canadian VLOOPER with a very bassy rework of Missy Elliot’s ‘Lick Shots’. Third in line is a trippy remix on ‘Rules – I’mpatient’ by Yahtzel. And for the techno department, proper techno track by Belarus duo Egoism, ‘Imitation‘.
