Kraak & Smaak are giving away a free remix of their ‘Call Up To Heaven’ featuring Lex Empress. It was uploaded a month ago but I’m pretty sure K&S unlocked the download option just today. The remix is produced by Grandmono, and people who know of Dutch singer Caro Emerald might immediately recognize their production. Now I don’t think this is a sound to be used over and over, but for now it’s just a really nice summer track.

Edit: As it appears, the download option was switched on by mistake. However, Jalapeno Records replied to our message by saying it will be up for download later. Will keep you updated about that!
Took me some digging to find out who this dude actually is. According to some other blogs, Sami Gerasimof is a 18-year-old producer from Helsinki, Finland who releases music under the monikers Frenssu, Sim Gretina and Kyandi. (And probably more names..) His main business is French filtered house, and the track I’m posting here is called ‘Hope In Your Soul’. You’ll probably recognize the samples from the 1979 ‘Relight My Fire’ by Dan Hartman and LoLeatta Holloway. The remix is a few months old, but it does give you a pretty good idea of what this young Fin sounds like. Please do visit his Soundcloud account (link below) because there is a lot more of where this came from.

Way late with posting this but hope you enjoy anyway. Crystal Fighters have been recording some acoustic sessions over at Abbey Road studios, resulting in an acoustic EP called ‘Star Of Love Acoustic EP’. It follows the Crystals Fighters recent album ‘Star Of Love’. They are giving this one recording away for free, the acoustic version of ‘Plage’.

Cool dubstep remix on Stange Talk’s ‘Eskimo Boy’. The original track was released on the ‘Strange Talk EP’ by Strange Talk, an indie band from Melbourne, Australia. (They’ve been released on Kitsuné, you’ll probably know them already..) A few weeks after the release a British producer who calls himself Draper finished this dubstep remix. He calls it Liquidstep, as there issn’t a single wobble or growling bassline to be found in the entire production. I’ll have to admit, it’s very nice for a change to not have a dubstep remix trying to severely damage your eardrums and everything that’s behind it.
