Best Day Ever (Pulse FX Remix)
Nice track with a slow start. It’s a remix on Mac Miller‘s ‘Best Day Ever’, which comes with a fun video that features Miller’s childhood images. The track itself is nice with a steady production and good lyrics, but it doesn’t quite hit the spot. Then there’s Pulse FX. The remixer took on ‘Best Day Ever’ for a great dubstep-ish remix. It takes a lot of elements from the original track up until 1.38, the track takes off from there.
What The Water Gave Me (Romeo Blanco Remix)
Here’s a track in the tradition of Swedish House Mafia, Avicii and the whole epic progressive house movement of the last few years. Romeo Blanco remixes Florence + The Machine’s ‘What The Water Gave Me’. The remix has everything: obvious lead synth, sidechained bassline, claps stacked on every kick, vocals cut up in the tradition of Afrojack and Major Lazer, Two snaredrum hits before the end of every breakdown and of course a breakdown to which you can sing when you’re too drunk to even breathe. And the remixer’s second name ends with an ‘o’. (Science fact: 33% of all epic main room house producers have a second name that ends with an ‘o’. True story.) So yeah this is a great remix, but it’s not really that original anymore.
Obrigado, Brasil
Hey there, new Snoop Dogg track. The track is up to promote a new type of wireless speaker called ‘Jambox’. It’s supposed to be super awesome so if you can spend a few bucks, do it here. Personally, I think if you want to really enjoy music, just go for high quality headphones. Back to actually enjoying music now: ‘Obrigado, Brasil’. It’s the title of the track Snoop Dogg recorded with Brazilian MC Marcelo D2. Nice modest poppy radio track, easy to listen to.
