The list of current future bass makers is never-ending, but Swedish producer Kasbo (Carl Garsbo) stands out with this new track featuring Nea, ‘Bleed It Out’.
Kasbo’s new single was released in late october on ODESZA’s Foreign Family Collective. It follows popular releases on that same label as well as other big labels such as Ultra, Monstercat, bitbird as well as Big Gigantic. Kasbo is most known for tracks such as ‘Sovereign‘ (with Just A Gent) and remixes on Coldplay’s ‘Paradise‘ and Big Gigantic’s ‘The Little Things‘. The new single features vocals by Nea (Linnea Södahl), who is best known as one of the writers on Zara Larsson’s 201 hit single ‘Lush Life’. Next to that, she’s worked with Axwell, Tinie Tempah, Snakehips, MNEK, Icona Pop and Jasmine Thompson.
According to Kasbo, ‘Bleed It Out’ took two years to finally be finished. Toghether with another single titled ‘World Away’, it is inspired by a backpacking trip through China and Vietnam: “Travelling around this place that has a complete different culture and way of life gave me a very uneasy feeling but was also very intriguing, and going there with your friends it was just a whole mess of emotions. Familiarity, clashing with fear in a complete foreign environment.” The song tells the story of coming to terms with the chaos: “It was something that at first stemmed some kind of anxiety within me but something I grew to love, it was kind of a beautiful chaos.”
