Impressive dubstep EP by BLOQSHOT, a producer who actually comes from releasing a string of succesful hardstyle productions in the past. The Dutch music maker releases on the label of fellow Dutch EDM-duo Showtek, SKINK.
Bloqshot is Dutchman Arjan Terpstra. As one half of hardstyle Noisecontrollers, some of Terpstra’s best known works to date – including remixes on Hardwell, Jurgen Vries and Zany – are releases under the hardstyle moniker Noisecontrollers, together with fellow hardstyle producer Bas Oskam. The duo split up in 2013, citing different creative ambitions as the main reason for breaking up.
Next to his work as part of the hardstyle duo, BLOQSHOT has spent studio time with established EDM artists such as Dannic and Jordy Dazz. The Utrecht based producer has also released solo work under aliases such as Killer Clown and Chaeljo. As his most recent solo alter ego BLOQSHOT, Terpstra has released his music on labels such as WOLV, Nax Pluto and now for the first time, SKINK.
His latest EP on SKINK features two tracks by the Dutchman. First track ‘Ard’ is the bass house side of the EP. On the other half, and most notably, ‘Singularity’ is evidence of Terpstra’s undeniable qualities as a dubstep producer. Enjoy below.
