NEW MUSIC: Snavs & Fabian Mazur – Exhale

Trap as a genre has been a big coming of age tv show. It grew big, hit puberty, tried hanging out with douchey pop music cool kids and made some other bad life choices along the way. And while still shaking off some weird memories, trap is really making a lot of sense again.

The biggest part of music that gets sent in to the inbox currently is trap and future bass music (or however you want to call it – ‘bass’ is our go-to tag). Most of it sounds good (technically) but fails to stand out musically or through originality. From a personal point of views: a lot of producers are simply wasting hours on trying to sound like something that has already been made by someone else.

The upside is that, within that huge pool of producers, the ones who create innovative works get the most spotlight (hopefully) which helps evolve that certain set of production ideas that together make up a trap/future bass/whatever genre. Looks like Snavs and Fabian Mazur are sharing some of that well deserved spotligt today through Spinnin’ Records’ Premium service.

Their track is titled ‘Exhale’ and while one intro and one major breakdown in the track already sound pretty convincing, the 0.55 and the 2.15 marks are the parts where you know this is one of the better tracks you’re going to hear this month. Big, well-produced, memorable sound!

While sometimes the follow-to-download process looks a little shady (some music sharing networks are pretty much impossible to unfollow afterwards), the Spinnin’ Premium service seems to be safe. It isn’t too aggressive either. By accepting and downloading, your Soundcloud account will automatically follow the artists (Snavs and Fabian Mazur in this case) and Spinnin’ Records on Soundcloud – it also asks for a comment but that one isn’t obligatory. You’ll notice Spinnin’ Records is a connected application on your Soundcloud Settings page after that. But that only seems to be for authentication on Spinnin’ Premium – no funny business. Enjoy!
