Here’s one for fans of Bob Moses, Sohn or Pablo Nouvelle. Dutch newcomers The Ultraverse are debuting their first track ‘Silent Call’ this week. The track comes with an impressive brand new video directed by Jonathan Bleeker.
The Ultraverse was founded by Huub van Loon, who has studied jazz and pop music to later become inspired by music from artists such as Trentemoller, Moderat or Bob Moses. Van Loon combines his love for dark, atmospheric electronic music with pop elements – which probably is the best way to define Ultraverse.
On stage the new Amsterdam based band consists out of three members: Huub van Loon, Pim Mulders and Jos van Loon (yes, they’re brothers). The Ultraverse is an experienced live band bringing together live guitar and vintage synths with vocals and live production techniques (drums/fx).
‘Silent Call’ is part of a larger EP titled ‘A Wiser Man’ which will be out later in spring. According to the band the EP is a coming of age story about a twenty-something guy becoming that ‘wiser man’. The second track of the EP will be announced soon. Follow The Ultraverse here.
