Devils Den
Christmas crunchy post. Redial just posted a nice drumstep edit on Skrillex and Wolfgang Gartner’s ‘Devils Den’. Which is pretty damn fast, as it is a remix on a track that was just released yesterday. The original ‘Devils Den’ is featured on Skrillex’ ‘Bangarang EP’. In true Christmas and Skrillex tradition, Skrillex posted the following about the EP:
“Happy holidays just like I promised…. just like i always say, go pirate it if you don’t have money..i just want you to have it… or you can buy it here..either way I’ll love you“.
So now you’re all warm and fuzzy on the inside, here’s an actual buy link to the ‘Bangerang EP‘. You’re free to pirate, but as Skrillex later points out correctly, the P2P’s and Blogosphere are already flooded with low quality rips and edits. For instance, the Hypem Popchart topping ‘Breathe’ is actually titled ‘Summit’ and features a whole 27 seconds of Ellie Goulding singing. And our recently posted ‘Breathe’ vocal mix was, as pointed out earlier, fake.
Back to Redial’s drumstep edit: not better than the original to be honest, but still very nice. And it’s a freebie. (Edit: Redial ran out of download links, But Trashbags has a working download link.)
All This Death
Classic alert. This the Chase and Status remix on ‘Death’ by The White Lies as released somewhere in the middle of 2009. Dylan Sanders did a pretty simple mashup, putting the ‘All This Love’ acapella by The Similou on top of it. Sanders calls it a ‘Crowd Pleaser Edit’, and yeah it probably does what the name says. The acapella doesn’t seem to fit that well in the beginning of the mash, but just wait up until 1.11.
