Skream, Benga, Brodinski, Justin Timberlake, James Blake & Poindexter

Scion A/V presents: Skream & Benga
Remember ye olde legendary BBC Essential Mix aired on the 24th of July, 2010? It’s Pete Tong presenting Magnetic Man, a fantastic Esesntial Mix packed with Dubstep tracks that I’m still looking for today. Today Skream and Benga posted a link on Facebook that leads to thier EP ‘Scion presents: Skream & Benga’ hosted by music giant Scion a/V. The E.P. holds two tracks from Benga and three tracks from Skream. The two tracks below are on both the EP and the Essential Mix and they’re pretty damn energetic.
Skream – Ice Cream Jelly Roll

Benga – Electro West

Cry Me A River (Screwed By Brodinski)
Brodinski is still screwing around. This week he flipped the pitch switch on Justin Timberlake’s ‘Cry Me A River’. It’s the ninth slowed down edit in Brodinski’s ‘The slower the better’-series. They’re a tribute to Dj Screw, who whas notorious for his ‘Chopped and Screwed’ edits. Now put this on and try to imagine a fat Justin Timberlake crying his eyes out over a giant bowl of ice cream.

(Edit: Brodinski provided a Mediafire link to download this track.)

The Wilhelm Scream (Poindexter Remix)
Somehow there aren’t a lot of James Blake remixes like this. Poindexter took ‘The Wilhelm Scream’ and put some non-depressive disco synths around the vocal. It results in the first really playful remix of James Blake I’ve ever heard. And for that we thank you, Poindexter.
