The blog has seen no real bands for a while. So we dug up these: Ok Go (yeah treadmills..) and The Mouse Folk. The last of those two is a brilliant and pretty new formation. Ok Go got a really good remix from Robotaki, which was also featured on Too Many Sebastians blog. Looks like most bands tend to go to Bandcamp or Myspace or something.. we don’t come there too often.
White Knuckles
Notice all the musicians you know, but not from their music? (Like that lady, some say she’s a man, walking around in meat dresses and such..) Ok Go is part of that list too, getting 52 million views on Youtube by running back and forth on a few treadmills in their music video. Ask those 52 million viewers how the actual song went, and most of them will go blank. Not that the music sucks, on the contrary. The video just lived a life of it’s own. Luckily there’s more to the band than just shooting deviant video’s. They have a fresh single out called ‘White Knuckles’ and started a remix competition around it. One of the participants is a Canadian who performs under the monikerRobotaki.

Paperback
For the people who create social media profiles for artists, Myspace is a dying monster. It’s filled with spam and hard to shape to ones liking. So cheers to the people who created the Myspace page for The Mouse Folk. besides a smooth Myspace page, the German band also has a few very nice tracks on their Soundcloud account. Two of them being called ‘Paperback’ and the beautiful ‘Servant To Your Smile’.
