Bass/House stuff. Weirded out piano samples all over the place on a new track by Hackman and Klic which is titled ‘Do Right’. The type of track you want to hear on a midnight club high. Production from British soil ofcourse.

HM. Fion picks up on Chante Moore’s ‘Straight Up’ with a new remix on that track titled ‘Counterfeit‘. El Perro Del Mar releases two free remixes on her previous release ‘Hold Off The Dawn’, one of which is a very nice n deep Gidge remix. Hamilton & Boynton’s ‘Freedom‘ from the Django Unchained soundtrack gets a remix by Berlin producer Björn Störig. A dubbed folk-ish song on house kicks, somehow is a very German thing to do.
On with the Traps, which is just HM today. Alesso’s ‘Clash’ gets the trap treatment by Calgary remixer MarK Instinct, and the track is available via Planet Human. And an Irishman called Reid produced ‘Wake‘. Not exactly the 140-150BPM production you might expect, but enough emphasis on those long-tailed kickdrums to put it here.
Also some very interresting (actual) songs in today. Will immediately say this is from BBC’s Live Lounge, ended up on several blogs in the past few days. Jessie Ware follows Bat For Lashes, Zola Jesus and hundreds of Youtubers in covering Rihanna’s ‘Diamonds’. Elegant, fragile, delicious. (Via Mixtape Maestro)
