Gotta set something straight first. As some of the commentors on last post correctly pointed out, the acapella edit on Skrillex’ ‘Breathe’ comes from Krewella. The kind people of OWSLA reported that it had nothing to do with it. So fake, hoax, spam, etc. Thanks to everyone who helped IDing though!

One of the best discoveries of 2011 must have been the ‘follow’-button on Xaphoon Jones’ Soundcloud page. The Philadelphian producer regularly puts out fantastic productions both for himself and other artists. Most recent upload: An unreleased track of his own with the acapella of Elbee Thrie’s ‘Possessed’.
Nothing But My Favorite Things
So yeah, finally giving in to the pretty lights, sleigh bells and beardy fatmen. Dutch king of bastard pop G3rst re-uploaded one of his old mashups for the holiday seasons. It’s Brian Setzer Orchestra’s ‘My Favourite Things’ (From The Sound Of Music, but surely one of the all time Christmas favorites.) and Metallica’s ‘Nothing Else Matters’ studio acapella.
Running Back To You
Perseus released a cool free EP on French Express titled the ‘Russian Girlfriends’ EP. The thing contains three tracks sampling various pop records. (Which is probably why the release is a freebie.) One of the tracks it titled ‘Running Back To You’ and features an old Aaliyah acapella.
I think it’s Ashanti’s song called Foolish, not Aliyah.
